Support
Find the next step for pairing, choosing files, and checking what arrived on either device. Still need a hand? Email support@chicklee.app.
What can I copy?
Move the files you choose between your Android phone and Mac. Choose the device that has them, then approve where they go on the other device.
Choose the device with your files
After you confirm the matching pairing number, use Chicklee on your phone to choose where the files are. Choose On this phone for files on Android or On your Mac for files on your Mac. Select the files on that device. On the other device, choose where to save them and approve Receive Files. Pairing and choosing files do not start copying.
Choose files on Android
Tap Choose files. Android opens its own file picker, where you can choose one file or select several when your phone supports it. On your Mac, choose where to save files. Review the selected names and count, choose Documents/Chicklee or another destination for this batch, then choose Receive Files.
To copy files from a folder, open it in Android's picker and select the files. Chicklee does not copy a whole folder in one step.
Choose files on your Mac
On your phone, choose On your Mac, then Choose files on your Mac. In Chicklee on your Mac, drop files into Step 2 or open the picker window. Review the list and choose Continue with selected files. On Android, choose where to save this selection and tap Receive Files. A drop or picker choice alone does not send anything.
If the picker looks different
Android's file picker can look different from one phone to another. Your phone decides where it opens and which locations it shows; Chicklee works with the files you choose there.
Choose more than one file
Press and hold a file in Android's picker, then tap other files you want. The gesture may vary by phone. On the Mac, you can add files to the draft and remove individual rows before continuing.
Your originals stay in place
Chicklee copies selected files and leaves the originals on the source device. It does not scan or back up a whole device, browse private app data, or delete originals for you.
Connect your Android phone
Connect the two apps, confirm a fresh matching number, then choose which device has the files.
Start with Auto Mode
Open Chicklee on your Android phone and Mac. Put both devices on the same local connection. Auto Mode looks for the Mac. If a guest network keeps them apart, try your phone's password-protected hotspot with the Mac connected to it, or use Manual Mode.
Check the pairing number
Compare the fresh pairing number shown on both devices and confirm the match on your phone. Then choose the device that has the files. The device saving the files still needs a destination and a separate Receive Files approval before anything copies.
If a pairing number expires
An old number cannot approve copying. If you were choosing readable files or reviewing a destination, Chicklee can keep that local work while you are in the apps. At Continue with selected files or Receive Files, confirm a fresh matching number. The receiving device keeps the destination you already reviewed when it can safely match the same selection; you still choose Receive Files before bytes move. If a new number is not available, use the on-screen pairing or Manual Mode guidance.
Start over is a separate choice
Use Start over only when you want to clear files you chose before copying began and choose again. Where both apps can coordinate, they end that selection together and return to pairing. Ordinary expiry or connection loss does not mean you chose to discard it. If copying began or Chicklee is still checking an uncertain result, follow the result and recovery guidance before choosing files again.
Using a cable
A cable may charge your phone; Chicklee copies through a local connection between its two apps.
Keep the cable connected for charging
A cable can keep your phone charged while Chicklee copies through the local connection between the Android and Mac apps.
Open Chicklee on both devices
Keep both apps open on the same local Wi-Fi connection or on a connection made with your phone's hotspot. Confirm a fresh matching number. On the phone, choose which device has the files, then finish selection on that device. The receiving device chooses the destination and approves Receive Files.
If the devices do not connect
A charging or USB file-transfer cable is not Chicklee's copy path. If Auto Mode cannot find your Mac, try your phone's password-protected hotspot or Manual Mode.
Local transfer and privacy
Selected files move directly between the Android and Mac apps on your local connection.
Between your two devices
Chicklee sends only the selected files from one device to the other over the local connection. Chicklee does not upload file contents to a Chicklee cloud service.
Confirm before copying
A fresh matching pairing number lets you check the Mac your phone found. Pairing alone does not choose the files, approve where they go, or start copying.
Bring your own connection
Home Wi-Fi or your phone's password-protected hotspot can provide a local connection. Public and guest networks may keep the devices apart; avoid sending sensitive files over a network you do not trust.
You choose what Chicklee can access
Android’s system picker grants access to files you select. Mac file choice uses macOS’s normal file access. Chicklee does not scan a whole device, browse private app data, or ask for broad Android storage access.
The device saving files approves each transfer
When your Mac receives files, macOS first asks you to authorize Documents before Chicklee creates and remembers Documents/Chicklee. Choose Another Destination changes the destination for this selection, not the remembered default. When Android receives files, choose a destination each time; Chicklee does not remember one for the next transfer. Destination access never replaces Receive Files approval.
Can't see your Mac? Try Manual Mode
Use Manual Mode to find the Mac on your local connection when Auto Mode cannot.
Start with a local connection
If guest Wi-Fi keeps your devices apart, turn on your Android phone's password-protected hotspot and connect your Mac to it. Try Auto Mode again.
Still not seeing your Mac?
Manual Mode lets you enter the Mac's connection address directly. It helps the apps find each other on your own Wi-Fi or hotspot.
Enter the current address
On your Mac, choose Manual Mode to show its address. On Android, open Manual Mode and enter that address. Compare and confirm the fresh matching pairing number. Finding and pairing do not start a copy.
After switching networks
A previous Manual address can help Chicklee look again but does not carry trust forward. If the Mac's address changed, enter the current one shown on the Mac and confirm a fresh number.
If files may already have moved
Restore the local connection and let Chicklee check the earlier result. Inspect the receiving device before choosing those files again; Manual Mode does not retry or resume uncertain bytes by itself.
Choosing files from a folder
Choose individual files from a folder; whole-folder transfer is not supported.
Select the files inside a folder
On Android, open a folder in the system file picker and select one or several files. On your Mac, choose files in Chicklee’s picker or drop them into Step 2. Chicklee copies the selected files, not the enclosing folder.
About whole-folder copy
Choosing a destination folder tells Chicklee where to save selected files. It does not turn the source selection into a whole-folder transfer, include subfolders, or watch that location for later changes.
Keep control of your choice
The source device controls which files can be selected. Chicklee does not scan private app data or ask for broad Android storage access.
Daily free files and larger selections
The Mac tracks one shared daily allowance for accepted files in either supported direction.
One allowance for both directions
Chicklee allows up to 10 accepted files a day for free. The Mac keeps one shared count for files saved on either device. Choosing a file, a failed copy, or a result that is still being checked is not a confirmed accepted copy.
If your selection exceeds today's allowance
Chicklee keeps all the files you chose waiting instead of silently copying only part of the selection. Nothing copies while the selection is blocked. Check the Mac for the available next action. You can choose fewer files or wait for a new daily allowance.
When you reach the daily limit
Check your Mac for the next action. The Mac handles any available purchase or Restore Unlock action; Android never asks you to pay or grants a separate unlock. If no purchase option appears, choose fewer files or wait until the daily allowance renews.
If a transfer stops
After Stop or connection loss, read the result on the receiving device and check saved files before trying again.
Find out what was saved
A completed file may already be saved even if a later file stopped. On Mac, compare Chicklee’s receipt with the destination in Finder. On Android, read Chicklee’s result and inspect the folder you chose or the file-type locations. A partial file is not a completed copy; Chicklee may remove it. If Chicklee is still checking what was saved, do not assume success or failure.
When you choose Stop
Stop asks Chicklee to end the active transfer. Files already confirmed as saved remain; a file in progress may be incomplete or its outcome may still need checking. Wait for Chicklee to show a confirmed result before treating the remaining files as unsaved.
Recover before choosing files again
Restore the local connection and follow the app's fresh-pairing instructions so it can check the exact earlier result. A recovery pairing may only check that result; it does not start a new copy. Compare the receiving device with the confirmed result before selecting any missing files again. Chicklee does not blindly resend an uncertain file. Your source originals remain in place.
Check what arrived
Check Chicklee's result and the saved files on the receiving device.
When your Mac received files
Use the Mac receipt and Show files in Finder to check the destination. Chicklee can give a new copy a safe unique name when a name already exists. Check the saved file before removing any source original.
When your Android phone received files
Chicklee on Android shows the transfer result. Check the files in the folder you chose, or in Music, Pictures, Movies, or Downloads when you used Save by File Type.
Read the exact outcome
A saved result means the device receiving files confirmed that file. A stopped, incomplete, or still-checking result does not prove every selected file arrived. Restore the connection so Chicklee can check that earlier result, and inspect the saved location before choosing files again.
Where are my files?
Find Mac copies in Finder, or Android copies in the folder or file-type location approved for that batch.
Files saved on your Mac
Choose Show files in Finder to open Documents/Chicklee or the other destination you chose for that batch. Compare the folder with Chicklee's receipt, especially if a file was renamed to avoid a collision.
Files saved on your Android phone
Open your phone’s Files app. If you chose Save by File Type — Recommended, look in Music for audio, Pictures for images, Movies for videos, and Downloads for other files. If you chose Choose Another Destination, open the folder you selected. Chicklee asks where to save files for each transfer to Android.
If something is missing
Check the result on the receiving device and compare it with the destination. A stopped or uncertain item may need a fresh connection for Chicklee to confirm its outcome. Do not resend it just because the first screen did not confirm success.
Make room when you're ready
Chicklee leaves source originals in place; inspect the receiving device before deleting anything yourself.
Check first, then choose
Open important saved files on the receiving device and compare them with Chicklee's confirmed result. Only then decide whether to remove any originals from the source device. Chicklee never deletes them for you, and a partial or uncertain outcome is not a reason to remove them.
Need a hand?
Check the receiving device and Chicklee's result, then email support@chicklee.app if you need help.
Start with the result
On Mac, compare the receipt with the destination in Finder. On Android, compare Chicklee's result with the selected folder or file-type location. Keep an uncertain result visible and restore the local connection when Chicklee asks to check it.
Email us
Email support@chicklee.app and tell us what happened. You can use any email app or webmail.
On Mac, Chicklee can prepare a short support summary for you to review and paste into your message. It is never sent automatically and leaves out file contents and file names. If needed, you can reveal and review a support file before attaching it yourself.
